What Your Teen Wants You To Know Part 2

What Your Teen Wants You To Know Part 2

Ben and Travis return from Cleveland, Tennessee to wrap up their discussion of teen/parent wisdom.

Show notes

Ben and Travis share a few more results from their youth ministry surveys and then switch the topic to what parents wish their teenagers knew. One of the main points is that we need to make sure everyone knows how much you care before they ever care how much you may know. At least know at some level if a parent cares enough to set boundaries just know that means they do care for your well being. It is okay to not be okay. We all need help from time to time and a parent would much rather deal with the "bad news" of a struggle than dealing with the "bad news" of losing a child.

Did you know that every day millions of people all over the world get up and walk several miles to search for water? Not to mention that more times than not, the water they do find is dirty and causes them to get sick. For the past 20 years, churches and individuals have been partnering with Healing Hands International to help bring an end to the water crisis, by drilling water wells and distributing water filtration systems. HHI empowers Christians to live out their calling to "do good to all," by providing local opportunities to make a global difference. If you want to be a part of this effort, you can get involved by coordinating a Walk4Water event. Walk4Water is a simple concept. If you want to host a Walk, you only need to do three things: Pick a date, find a location, and get people there. Healing Hands is going to take care of everything else.If you want to learn more about how you can help people get clean water, please visit walk4water.org/benandtravis. Join us in changing the water cycle today!
